north lakes retirement village BrisbaneThe Marchese Partners designed Community Facilities building at North Lakes provides residents with a beautiful central place to meet and socialise.The new building is based on the "country club concept" with dramatic vaulted ceilings and with extensive use of exposed timber trusses, timber columns and timber flooring. Complementing the timber is the sandstone columns and pavers which makes reference to the existing community centre. The internal spaces are flooded with natural light and is well ventilated through the use of glass louvre windows. The facility boasts a large community hall, bar and café which has expansive views over the new bowling green and golf course. |
