Waterbrook Greenwich Complete

Building on the success of the pioneering seniors living complex Waterbrook at Yowie Bay, in Sydney's south, Waterbrook Greenwich is now complete and selling fast.

The development, including 79 independent living units and unparalleled communal facilities was designed by Marchese + Partners to provide an environment tailored to deliver 5 star luxury accommodation and services for older residents, the project was built by Parkview Constructions, both on time and on budget.

A highly skilled team led by Ralph Steller, created this unique development that is architecturally sympathetic to Sydney's leafy North Shore, whilst still offering residents a design sophistication that surpasses all other seniors living developments in the area.

'We used our considerable experience and knowledge of seniors living to design a complex that has a luxurious and spacious look and feel, whilst also creating an efficient and buildable design on a very steep and confined site,' said Ralph Steller, Senior Associate with Marchese + Partners.

Over the last several years M + P have gained an enviable reputation in seniors living design and continue to show their commitment to this sector by sponsoring and supporting the Retirement Village Association (RVA) and embarking on annual educational tours of US retirement facilities. Chifley Hotel Opens

M+P Interiors upgrade of the landmark Chifley Hotel in Sydney is now complete, with astounding results. All 215 hotel rooms have been upgraded to 4.5 stars, the entry lobby has been relocated and a new reception, bar, restaurant and function area has been created that is in keeping with the vibrant surroundings of cosmopolitan Kings Cross.

M+P Interiors' design creates a journey for arriving guests, through two contrasting environments, from lobby up to the reception area. The lower level is a seductive and moody transition space, cool and restrained in its palette, and is punctuated with flashes of vibrant colour and textural variety. The open plan upper level retains some of the same elements as lower but is flooded with light with its plan promoting movement and transparency, as the various functional areas blend into one another.

'The design maximizes the vibrant outlook onto Darlinghurst Road,' said M+P Senior Associate and design team manager, Chris White. 'The subtle selection of materials and detailing add to the tranquil and welcoming setting.'

The Chifley Hotel adds to a growing list of successfully completed M+P hotel and resort projects which also includes the unique Port Douglas resort hotel, Great Keppel Island resort, and the refurbishment of the Mercure Inn, Townsville. M+P are proud of their continued progress in, and support of, this particular market, which will continue with our involvement as an exhibitor at the 8th Annual Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Hotel Investment Conference this month at Sydney's Hilton Hotel.

Minton House Complete

M+P's winning design for the conversion of Minton House in Kings Cross into prestige strata office suites is now complete. The project involved the conversion of the existing prominent 1940's building into 30 luxurious strata office suites. Marchese Partners Interiors winning concept for the project involved building on the original period character of the building to create a luxurious art deco inspired ambience much like that of a boutique hotel.

The existing terrazzo stair case and tiled entry lobby have been retained and complemented by the addition of bevelled mirrored panels, feature carpet, large ottoman and pendant lighting, creating a refined and plush period environment. The 30 Suites have patterned glass entry doors and fan lights with thick carpet throughout and are discretely wired for the latest communication technologies .

The project is a reflection of the changing nature of the Kings Cross area and demonstrates the re-gentrification and lifestyle shift in this part of Sydney. The area is currently being refreshed and is home to an increasing number of vibrant new commercial, tourism and lifestyle businesses.

The suites are selling quickly, for more information visit www.mintonhouse.com.au
