The Longueville Hotel Complete

A Lane Cove landmark since 1929, the Longueville Hotel has played an important role in the Lane Cove community for many years. With renovations now complete the Longueville has set a new standard for hospitality venues in the area. Marchese Partners were responsible for renovations to the hotel in 1996 and were asked again to re-look at the hotel by the owners in 2005. In response to the impending new NSW smoking regulations, the owners brief was to create an extensive outdoor terrace to the rear of the hotel adding some 260sq.m of licenced space, along with an equal amount of back of house area, over two floors.

The hotel offers 3 bars - the Sports bar, Lounge Bar and Under Bar plus a Bottle Shop and Garden Terrace. The new bars have been redesigned to offer their own distinct mood and flavour and the relaxed yet intimate Garden Terrace provides a perfect alternative space for families or friends to enjoy drinks. With a huge Canary Island palm at its centre, the Garden Terrace is an excellent new addition to the hotel. The terrace incorporates an innovative water feature and zinc clad fountain with lush planting adding another dimension to the hotels outdoor appeal. Next to the bar an enclosed timber decked pergola with glass louvres and white concrete columns allows patrons to enjoy the dramatic view towards the city. The new extension is a striking addition with its sandstone base and distinct modern forms.

Marchese + Partners adopted a holistic approach to the this project, with architecture, interior design and branding harmoniously contributing to the total Longueville experience. Addition Creative (our in-house team) provided a total graphics package from logo to signage and interior visuals.

The hotel now offers a balance of modernity and heritage within a comfortable, stylish location, perfect for a casual drink, meal with friends, sporting event or a lazy afternoon taking in the sights.

Stoned Crow Hotel Refurbished.

The Stoned Crow at 39 Willoughby Road Crows Nest has been a local icon for decades. The re-opened hotel has been fully refurbished by Marchese Partners Interiors Team and is now better than ever. The team have launched the hotel into a new era with substantial changes and a redesigned look and feel.

The challenge for this refurbishment was to come up with an economical refit for a large open plan space. Double height wall spaces have been lined with tinted mirrors giving the interior the feel of a chic urban cocktail lounge. A long white bar on the main wall invites customers in, while the glow of the unique backlit wine cellar behind the bar bathes the whole environment in soft light. The new hotel is a masterful transformation and has created an environment with wide appeal - The Crow is still popular with locals and has attracted a newer trendy fashion focused clientele.

M + P Wins New Tavern Project.

Marchese Partners design for a new tavern has been selected as the winning bid for a new residential estate in Sydney's west. The hotel offers a range of facilities and bars and will provide a great focus for the local community. Inspired by the need to create a genuine civic presence for the building the design reflects a modern Australian 'pub' character. Located in the proposed town centre of this new suburb, the hotel features an impressive brick corner element which signifies the hotels main entrance. Planned around a central beer garden, the hotel offers a restaurant, gaming room, sports bar, cafe and function facilities. The open plan ground floor foyer opens into the main hotel, from which tree lined vistas of the town centre are visible through floor to ceiling glass. The hotel will provide a focus for the proposed mixed use town centre, offering the best of hospitality and the sanctuary of a walled beer garden.
