Aveo Community Centre Clayfield
Currently under construction the Communal Facility Building completes the communal heart of the Aveo Clayfield Village in Brisbane. On the same site as the recently completed Molly and Selwood seniors living apartment building, this facility is located directly adjacent to the historic Highland’s House heritage building and encloses an activated outdoor plaza space. The building also provides pedestrian link connections over two levels to the neighbouring O’Driscoll heritage building.
In juxtaposition to the surrounding buildings, this new communal facility will form a more contemporary and iconic structure within the Clayfield masterplan in accordance with the design brief requirements. Complementary materials have purposely been selected to ensure the building sits in context within its historic surroundings. The building fulfils a functional requirement for the expanding village community, including café/dining and flexible multipurpose facilities for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
